Project Name: Kalumburu 4 x New Houses for Government Regional Officers
Location: Kalumburu, Western Australia
Client: Department of Housing, WA
Consultant: Franco Carozzi Architects
Project Value $2.35 Million
Programme: 26 weeks
Delivery Method: Lump Sum Contract
Construction of 4 very much required new houses to accommodate teachers for the local community school. The houses were constructed to resist the most damaging of cyclonic conditions due to its coastal northern Australian and remote locality.
This project was a very challenging build with the construction of a temporary builders camp required, and with access limited to barge or plane only for extended periods of time due to a very long and heavy wet season.
